A special thanks to Kitchen Table Charities Trust’s supporters for contributing a generous gift of £6000 to Nasi CBO to train Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) from deprived, low income, impoverished rural communities, and equip them with safe birth kits. Professionally trained and equipped TBAs are the bedrock of effective maternal healthcare in the remote rural communities we serve and help to reduce the high incidence of maternal/neonatal deaths and serious health complications. Your support will ensure in the future that child delivery & antenatal/ postnatal care tasks are handled properly\ by medically trained TBAs, thereby reducing the risks of maternal/ neonatal deaths and related health issues, and helping to secure the jobs and incomes of TBAs by providing them with professional qualifications.
