The Mustard Seed Project (Uganda) have been supporting the community of Tisai Island, situated in a swamp in Eastern Uganda, since 2016. The island was only discovered to be inhabited 8 years ago, after families had returned to their land since the insurgencies of the Lord’s Resistance Army and attacks from the Karamojong. This project was delivered by: Karma Rural Women’s Development Organisation (KRUWODO), funded by KTCT. Project Update Number 5 - Sent to us in May 2015. Accomplishments: To-date all the 12 water jars have been completed. The first 6 jars which were constructed have already started harvesting water while the other six will be connected in a month’s time. From ATBAWA - Akpafu Traditional Birth Attendants Women’s Association "The main goal for this grant was to select practicing but untrained traditional birth attendants to be trained in prenatal, delivery and postnatal care. The project benefits 20 practicing but untrained traditional birth attendants from 10 villages of Hohoe municipality, Ghana. Akpafu organization is happy to say that implementation of activities took place very well with selection and training of 20 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) in pre and post natal care as well as sexual reproductive health. This activity was done on Schedule –from 17th- 22nd March, 2013."

Dear Sir, Accept warm greetings from CCREAD-Cameroon and community for the grant offered us to assist abandoned teenage mothers set up a vocational training center. At the moment, we are officially confirming that materials have been procured and the ICT unit is fully installed while training for the first shift of teenage girls commences next week. Bee keeping in Tantala

Hope you and the entire KTCT team are faring well. This is just to update you on the progress of work regarding the bee-keeping project. Each beneficiary woman farmer is expected to get 2 Kenyan Top Bee hives for installations. Bee-hives are not ready made in the market. To meet this requirement, a skill person-local carpenter was contracted to make all bee-hives for the women farmers. Red Hardwood boards were procured to be converted into bee-hives with the required standards of measurements under the supervision of bee-keeping expert.
